Katharine and Cara give a BMW-Bianchi 1-2 in McMinnville

Lady K continues to display her talent by crushing the competition at this weekend's omnium in McMinnville, TN.  After her 35 mile two-up breakaway failed, she still had the strength to lead out the sprint and win!  Teammate Cara McCauley held off the rest of the riders to finish second, and Katharine's MOM showed that talent is largely genetic by winning the women's cat 4 race... Happy Mother's Day indeed!  The evening's hillclimb TT produced similar results, with Katharine taking the win and only one other rider managing to sneak ahead of Cara.  This placed BMW-Bianchi first and second in the omnium until a disappointing criterium left Katharine 2nd and Cara 4th overall.

In Charlotte, NC at the Dilworth Criterium, a large women's field produced a strong breakaway of three.  The BMW-Bianchi team missed the move, but still managed to take the field sprint with Patty Shoaf in 4th, Nancy Lux in 6th and Janet Edgerton coming in 10th.

Congratulations to this month's upgradees!  Daniele Staskal and Katharine Carroll are now category 2 racers, and are now part of our "elite" team!  Look for these two standout riders on our roster for the Liberty Classic in Philadelphia, along with guest rider Shannon Hutchison (Aaron's/L5 Flyers).
